Bottle number 2

So I decided for tonight to let my trusted advisor choose which bottle to open. 

It’s a Malbec from Chile. 

So far it’s nice. I’m not really fussy. This definitely won’t be a wine connoisseur blog. 

How to choose?

I can’t decide how to choose which wine to drink. I feel like there is an exciting way to pick but I haven’t thought of it yet. 

Maybe number them 1-50. Draw from a hat? 

Or get a friend to choose? 

I’ve also decided to replace as we drink. The idea of having a well stocked wine cellar is so exciting. 

What do you think? How do I choose? 

First bottle

My mom stopped by so we finally opened a bottle. She chose one of our few duplicate bottles – Apothic Red. 

This one we have had in the past. 

49 bottles to go. 

50 bottles of wine

This weekend, I won 50 bottles of wine from a charity fundraiser. Everyone participating had to put in $10 donation and a bottle of wine worth more than $15. It was a draw down and I was the last name picked. I was hoping to win the lottery but I guess this is good, too. 

50 bottles of wine driving home in the back of the car. I won’t lie. I screamed at a lot of cars telling them not to rear end me. 

The first thing I did when I got home from picking them up was to drop everything (except the bottles) and sort them. I was like a kid on Halloween. What did I get! 

Then I grabbed a beer and sat down to admire my prize. 

It’s been two days and we still haven’t popped a bottle open. I’m still basking in having an instant wine cellar.
